Mrs Stephanie Martin-Cobos

Physiotherapy Team Leader and Specialist Musculoskeletal (MSK)

First Class Honours Physiotherapy BSc

I am the physiotherapy team leader and specialist musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist at spire Liverpool Hospital. My specialist interests include acupuncture, hand therapy, spinal conditions and vestibular rehabilitation.

I qualified with a first class honours physiotherapy BSc degree from The University of Liverpool over 10 years ago, and have worked in a variety of settings, including the NHS and private clinics, gaining a broad range of experience in all core areas of physiotherapy. Whilst in the NHS, I specialised in MSK outpatients, working in MCAS clinics and consultant led clinics where I continued to develop highly specialised skills in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. I have also completed numerous post-graduate courses including acupuncture, APPI clinical Pilates, cervicogenic dysfunctions and vestibular rehabilitation.

I strive to ensure an excellent standard of patient care whilst keeping abreast of the latest evidence to ensure current best practice is followed. My passion for the profession extends to being a clinical educator, accepting placements for physiotherapy students from local universities.

Spire Healthcare’s purpose, vision and values are at the centre of my working practice, delivering evidence based, patient-centred care, and is the incentive behind ongoing and future projects initiated for the benefit of my patients and colleagues.
