Dr Rajiv Sood

Dr Rajiv Sood

Paediatric Consultant and Allergist

MBBS, DCH, MRCP, FRCP, FRCPCH, PG Cert Allergy

I have over 30 years of experience in dealing with general medical problems in children. I have also specialised in allergies and have set up the most comprehensive accredited allergy service. I am experienced to look after children from birth to 18 years for all aspects of children's health and urgent medial problems.

I treat all general medical problems in children including new born and infants-colic, reflux, feeding difficulties, failure to gain weight, routine health check, food intolerance, prolonged diarrhoea, constipation, abdominal pain, urinary tract infections, day time and night time wetting, headaches and respiratory tract infections. I also treat young children and adolescent medical problems.

For allergies, I treat food, skin, eye, hay fever, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylaxis, adrenalin injection training, allergy skin prick testing, allergy blood tests and allergy desensitisation (immunotherapy).

I have been a Consultant Paediatrician since 1998 at the Homerton University Hospital NHS Trust and have been recognised by the ACCEA, an independent advisory Committee on Distinction Awards for eight Clinical Excellence awards (the national maximum is 10).

Professional fees: Allergy test charges are separate and in addition to the consultation charges.

Before these tests can be done the patient needs to avoid taking any antihistamines, for instance Piriton, Cetirirzine, Fexofenadine, Benadryl etc, or cough syrups that contain antihistamines, for at least 72 hours. Antihistamine medications interfere with the test and may make a test falsely negative.

If you do not cancel your appointment and do not attend for your appointment, you may be liable to a ‘non-attendance’ charge of £75.
