I am a Consultant Gastroenterologist working at Spire London East Hospital and Spire Hartswood Hospital in Essex. I have a special interest in interventional GI procedures minimising need for major surgery. I was one of the earliest Capsule Endoscopy operators in the world and hence very experienced at this procedure.
After completion of specialist training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in the UK, 1991, I completed two years of GI research and training in the USA. I received my Fellowship in Gastroenterology from the University of Nebraska Medical Centre, USA in 1994. I was then appointed as a consultant in Gastroenterology in 1995.
I have extensive research experience and have authored 14 original research papers in peer reviewed medical journals. I have over 30 scientific and clinical abstracts and have written two book chapters. My research interests include Procedural Gastroenterology, Capsule endoscopy and Gastrointestinal dysfunction in neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease.
