I am a Consultant General Surgeon at Spire Hartswood private hospital in Brentwood, and Spire London East private hospital in Redbridge (both in Essex), offering private general surgery in our clean and comfortable hospitals.

I have a special interest in heartburn and reflux problems. My other clinical work involves major oesophago-gastric and colon cancer resections and complex laparoscopic surgery. I perform a substantial number of upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies and participate in day case surgery. I also provide emergency surgical service when appropriate. I am a teacher and trainer of GI and laparoscopic surgery.

I was appointed as a consultant surgeon in 2003 and have established my practice predominantly as an oesophago-gastric and laparoscopic surgeon.

As well as English I am able to speak Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.
