I am an experienced Orthoptist, having been qualified for 17 years. I have significant experience in the assessment and management of childhood vision problems, childhood and adulthood strabismus and eye movement disorders. Therefore, I am able to provide high quality, detailed assessment, diagnosis, and management of these conditions.
I have a special interest in working with children and adults with special educational needs (SEN). I was the pioneer for setting up a specific paediatric SEN clinic at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I am able to work well with patients of all age groups and abilities, especially children. I have often been able to obtain a detailed assessment from challenging and difficult children, where they have not performed well previously. I am also proficient at carrying out Visual Fields and OCT scans to a very high standard.
I have a wide range of experience in research, voluntary work, teaching and leadership. I have taught in many different aspects including medical students, through to international qualified eye specialists and experienced GPs.
