I am a Senior Consultant Haematologist who has held the position of Consultant Haematologist since 2005, following extensive experience in both adult and paediatric clinical and laboratory haematology.

I possess comprehensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide array of benign and malignant blood disorders, including leukaemias, lymphomas, and myelomas.

I spearheaded a five-year modernisation program for the thrombosis service at Mersey and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and served as the Principal Investigator for the first national trial examining the use of the new direct oral anticoagulant, Rivaroxaban, in treating cancer-induced thrombosis.

I have a robust background in internal medicine, an excellent foundation for analysing patient symptoms, leading to a broader perspective in diagnosis and management.

I have contributed extensively to research, including clinical research papers, case reports, and textbook chapters, and take pride in delivering exceptional clinical and patient care.
