Virtual consultations:
I am a consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at the Manchester University hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).
I am the Clinical Lead for the Chronic Pain Services at the trusts site in Oxford Road, Trafford & Altrincham General hospitals.
I became a medical student at the age of fourteen and was one of the youngest medical graduates in Egypt.
After graduating from Medical School in Cairo, Egypt and completing my Masters of Science and a 4 year training rotation in Ain-Shams University, Cairo I Relocated to the UK where I rotated in Training posts around North Wales, Mersey and Surrey.
I joined the Northwest Training Rotation as a Specialist Trainee and completed the five-year training Program. My last year of training was spent at the Imperial school in London, specifically in the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where I completed his Advanced Pain Medicine training in a twelve-month program.
I am a Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists by examination.
I have published chapters on multiple topics of Pain Medicine in 2 books published in the UK and the USA.
Presenting in international medical conferences is an integral part of my annual academic calendar. I have a well-established interest and role in post-graduate education and healthcare management. I chair the North West Pain Group, which holds regular monthly meetings for Pain Medicine Consultants in the North West Region.
It is currently well established that early referral to a specialist pain team has been shown to improve outcomes in patients with chronic pain in multiple studies.
Together with my team I will ensure that your assessment is thorough and treatment is started expeditiously avoiding unnecessary delays and helping you regain control of your life sooner. Early intervention for chronic pain can improve quality of life and reduce the risk of further disability.
