BM BCh (Oxon) MA FRCS (Plast) FEBS (Breast Surgery)
I am a female Consultant Plastic and Breast Surgeon based at The Nightingale Centre, Manchester University NHS Trust. I specialise in breast surgery, breast cancer and reconstruction and body contouring surgery. I am one of few surgeons worldwide to be accredited in both Plastic and Breast Surgery, appearing on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery and being a Fellow of the European Board of Breast Surgery.
My practice covers all aspects of breast disease, breast cancer and breast reconstruction. This encompasses the latest oncoplastic techniques, implant and microsurgical breast reconstruction and complex revisional surgery. I perform the full spectrum of breast surgery, including breast reduction, breast uplift and breast augmentation. I also specialise in abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).
I offer a personalised approach to deliver attractive and long-lasting results. In addition to technical attention to detail, I place great importance on making patients feel comfortable and ensuring they have a full understanding of treatment options, surgery and the recovery process.
I gained my medical degree at the world-renowned University of Oxford. Following foundation training in Oxford, I returned to my roots in the North West to complete Specialty Registrar training in Plastic Surgery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. I sub-specialised by completing the prestigious National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship at the Nightingale Centre, developing expertise in all aspects of breast surgery, reconstruction and aesthetic surgery. I am a Fellow of the European Board of Breast Surgery and was awarded 1st prize in this examination.
I have completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Education and I am actively involved in education at the local and national level. I have published many research papers in Plastic and Breast Surgery and presented my work widely at national and international conferences.
