I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a clinical practice exclusively devoted to shoulder and elbow surgery.
I teach both doctors and physiotherapists at Salford University on the Orthopaedic Diploma course.
I am faculty on two national arthroscopic teaching courses for shoulder and elbow techniques, training fellow consultants as well as junior doctors in up-to-date surgical techniques in minimally invasive surgery.

I am married to Dione who is a practising musculoskeletal physiotherapist and we have three children, our oldest at Nottingham University. When I have time, I manage to keep fit at a local gym and run, as well as play golf.
I won a Full Blue playing for Cambridge University in football, which I am very proud of and was captain of the 2nd XI while an undergraduate.
During my Fellowship in Australia, I completed the Melbourne half marathon (1hr, 43mins).
