I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon based at Stepping Hill Hospital with NHS clinics at Tameside, Macclesfield, and Leighton Hospital. I have a wide experience of general urology and perform this daily in my NHS positions, but also specialise in male infertility and urological cancer. I work with fertility units across the North West.

I am involved with the diagnosis and treatment of men with fertility problems as well as performing a high number of reversal of vasectomies.

I perform reversal of vasectomy with an operating microscope to achieve the best results. I am also involved in infertility research and have published many articles in this area of expertise.

I also sit on the Manchester Cancer pathway board for Urology, helping with delivery of urology cancer care across the region.

I am one of the highest volume kidney cancer surgeons in the country and performed the first keyhole partial removal of a kidney tumour (laparoscopic partial nephrectomy) in 2013 using a novel green dye to highlight the tumour borders in the UK together with colleague Neil Oakley.

I graduated from Newcastle University and have worked in the North East of England, Australia, New Zealand and now have settled in the North West of England.

I also have a keen interest in education, and lead on medical student teaching in my department. I was awarded a certificate of education from the University of Dundee and teach and lecture medical students and health professionals, including trainee Urologists.
