I have been a cardiac specialist nurse Wrightington Wigan and Leigh Hospital for the past 17 years. My roles and responsibilities at Wrightington Wigan and Leigh were varied and exciting; they included managing and setting up nurse led rapid access chest pain clinics, running a dobutamine stress echo service with our physiologists, nurse led cardioversion service and outpatient clinics.
From May 2016 I have specialised in cardiac arrhythmia management. I am a non-medical prescriber and have completed a master’s programme in clinical diagnostics and clinical examination and history taking. I am an ALS provider and have been an instructor up to two years ago.
