Virtual consultations:
I am a Consultant General and Upper GI Surgeon with a specialist interest in oesophagus and stomach cancer, gastroesophageal reflux disease, hiatus hernia, bariatric surgery, gallstones and keyhole hernia surgery.
I have been a consultant surgeon for over 20 years, initially at the Pennine Trust and since 2010 at the Salford Royal Foundation Trust. At the Salford Royal Hospital, I work in the Department of Upper GI Surgery, which is one of the largest upper GI surgical units in the country.
I believe in lifelong learning and over the years, I have acquired extensive expertise and experience in my field of interest. I use all my knowledge and skill to provide the best possible care to my patients.
Every patient is an individual with personal needs and requirements. When I am recommending a treatment to my patients, I always make sure that I have given careful consideration to everything which may be important. I am very pleased that I have thousands of happy patients who I have had the privilege to treat over the years.
I have a research interest in oesophago-gastric cancer, Barrett’s oesophagus and bariatric surgery.
I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and also member of the Association of Upper GI Surgeons of Great Britten and Ireland (AUGIS), Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons of Great Britten (ALGGBI) and Ireland, British Obesity and Metabolic Surgery Society (BOMSS) and Manchester Regional Association of Surgeons (MRAS).
