Any patient with a soft tissue lump can now be assessed at Spire Manchester Hospital.
At Spire Manchester Hospital we now offer a 'Soft Tissue, Lumps and Bumps Clinic' led by Mr Amit Kumar, Consultant Orthopaedic and Sarcoma Surgeon. The clinic enables early detection and diagnosis in improving outcomes for anyone with a concerning lump.
Soft tissue and bone tumours (benign or malignant) are usually found on the arms, legs and chest. Sarcomas are very rare cancers which form approximately 1% of all malignant tumours. Signs to look out for are lumps larger than 5cm (size of a golf ball), that are deeply seated and painful. However, they can start of as very small benign looking lumps which aren’t necessary painful. They can affect any part of the body.
