MB BCh, BAO, FRCSI, FRCS (Plast)
I specialise in all aspects of breast surgery. I graduated from University College Dublin in 1990. After four years of training in general surgery I qualified as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland in 1994, having won the Registrar’s Prize for surgical research in the interim. I immediately fulfilled my lifetime ambition of commencing plastic surgery training, firstly in Dublin and then as part of the Yorkshire Regional Plastic Surgery Training Scheme.
In 2001, I was awarded the Specialist Fellowship in Plastic Surgery [FRCS (Plast)] and gained entry onto the GMC Specialist Register of fully accredited plastic surgeons. I commenced work as a full time NHS Plastic Surgeon in 2002 with a special interest in breast surgery and reconstruction, and burn surgery. I also commenced private practice in Methley Park Hospital, Leeds.
Over the years, I have developed a specialist interest and expertise in all aspects of breast and chest wall surgery, including post-cancer breast reconstruction, congenital breast malformation, burned breast/chest wall reconstruction, gynaecomastia and female to male “top surgery”.
