I have been consultant nephrologist for the last six years, after acquiring CCt in renal medicine and general medicine. I have wide experience of managing acute and chronic renal problems. I am trained in renal transplant and to deal with acute and long term complications of renal transplant.
I am expert in diagnosis and management of hypertension. I have experience of rare renal problems like Glomerulonephritis or nephrotic syndrome, Vasculitis and hereditary renal problems. I perform renal biopsies and insert temporary and permanent dialysis catheters.
I have specialist clinic in Vasculitis, Glomerulonephritis and Tolvaptan (drug to treat Polycystic kidney disease). I also take referrals from cancer team to deal with new cancer medication toxicity causing renal impairment, this is fairly new field with little evidence, I have developed my interest in it.
I teach renal registrars these procedures which keeps me hands on with procedural competence.

I am clinical lead in nephrology at Wirral university hospital, it involves leading a team of medical and nursing team, lead by example, driving them to the best of their potential.
I am clinical lead in vascular access, this involves policies and practices in place to achieve vascular access in renal patients as per Renal association.
I am clinical lead in Vasculitis, I also lead in Education in renal department.
I am regular reviewer of BMJ and peer review the British Medical Journal.
