Specialises in
I’ve been specialising in plastic surgery for more than 15 years, and I feel very fortunate to perform procedures that can make such a positive impact on people’s lives. I’ve a breadth of experience that has ranged from simple removal of unsightly moles or eyebags, to putting people back together after shark bites. So whatever treatment you may be looking for, my field of expertise encompasses all aspects of cosmetic surgery, and I hope to provide you with experienced advice on any cosmetic procedure of the face, body and breasts (including breast augmentation).
I specialised in cosmetic surgery with a National Interface Fellowship in Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery. I worked closely with plastic surgeons, ENT, maxillofacial surgeons and ophthalmologists, which enables me to provide you with a combined experience in all aspects of cosmetic breast, body, eyelid, ear and facial surgery.
I’m also of the new generation of certified hand specialists with cross-specialty expertise in both orthopaedic aspects (bone and joints) and plastic surgery aspects (nerves, tendons, skin and soft tissues) of hand and arm disorders. I studied in the world-renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre and was awarded British Diploma in Hand Surgery. I’m experienced in treating the whole spectrum of hand conditions and injuries, including carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren's contracture, trigger finger, ganglions and arthritis of the hand, as well as more complex, less common hand problems.
I’m a fully accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon with an NHS practice based at Whiston Hospital, the largest plastic surgery centre in the Northwest. My specialist NHS service is focused on the correction of breast asymmetry and deformity, hand injuries, complex limb reconstruction, and facial reconstruction for skin cancer. I work within the Regional Centre for Complex Abdominal Wall reconstruction, specialising in tummy tuck and scar revision for the cosmetic repair of diastasis recti and problematic hernias. I hope to see you in my clinic soon, as you prepare to make a change for the better.
I studied medicine at the University of Leeds (1998) and trained locally in Manchester and Leeds, and then internationally in Perth, Australia. In 2011 I was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery, and I’m on the GMC Specialist Register as a plastic surgeon. I have a postgraduate degree (MD, University of Manchester) for a two-year period of medical research I undertook in Sweden looking at reconstruction after peripheral nerve injury.
