I am a consultant in Upper GI and General surgery based at Royal Liverpool Hospitals, Liverpool. I am one surgeons delivering Upper GI cancer care as part of the supra regional cancer service for Cheshire and Merseyside.
My specialist practice encompasses cancers of Oesophagus and Stomach, Gastro-Oesophageal reflux disease, gallstone disease and hiatus hernias. Being a regional Upper GI specialists, I deal with complex cases referred from the region for these conditions. I have an interest in keyhole surgery and undertake many surgeries including cancers using this technique.
I have keen interest in hernia surgery including groin hernias, abdominal wall hernias and complex incisional hernias. I have undertaken hernia surgeries in developing countries as part of ''Operation Hernia'' missions.
I completed my higher specialist training in Merseyside and obtained FRCS in 2016. Since commencing my consultant practice, I undertake both general and specialist surgery.
I have excellent clinical skills and place a strong emphasis on Doctor patient relationship. I believe in delivering quality, compassionate care that incorporates individual patient preferences and values. I enjoy educating and empowering my patients on health and wellbeing.
