I have been a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital since February 2010 where I provide a service in general and specialist gastroenterology. I am also a clinical lead for inflammatory bowel disease and have expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy including gastroscopy, sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy.
I qualified from St Mary's Hospital Medical School, London in 1997 then started subspecialty training in 2002 in the Eastern Deanery. I developed an interest in inflammatory bowel diseases while doing research at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge and have many research publications on the genetics of inflammatory bowel diseases. I gained my MD in 2000.
