"Spire is a well reputed health provider. It has a great environment for working. The staff are very helpful and always willing to guide you. I hope to provide a stress free service to my patients of a high standard."

I am an expert in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment. I am a reputed Mohs Micrographic surgeon and experienced skin surgeon. I perform a high standard of skin surgery, including flaps and grafts with excellent cosmetic results. I remove moles and cysts, and treat warts and haemangiomas. I treat pre-cancerous conditions, medically and surgically. I am an expert in skin cancer chemo-prevention, photoaging and sun protection. I am a qualified specialist in tropical dermatology and skin infections. I have special interests in inflammatory skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis, and have done research and trials in these areas.

I am a regional tertiary specialist in transplant dermatology and hidradenitis supporativa. I take referrals directed to me from as far as London and the West Anglia region. I am currently doing trials on Hidradenitis supporativa.

I had the unique opportunity to study and learn dermatology in Pakistan; to study subtropical dermatology in Bangkok, Thailand; as well as tropical dermatology in the United Kingdom and western regions. Hence I have a huge amount of experience in a variety of general and tropical dermatology. This has enhanced my ability to the diagnoses and treatment of skin conditions. I am also experienced in genital skin problems.

I have been a consultant dermatologist since 2007 in Norwich. Prior to that I was an Associate Specialist for four years. I have performed more than 700 Mohs surgery cases and the majority of them I have repaired myself, including periocular cases. I have performed a countless number of skin flaps of various varieties on head and neck areas as well as on limbs. I also perform full thickness and partial thickness skin grafts on a weekly basis.

I am a member of the patient safety committee of Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. I have been MDT chairman for three years and deputy CD for appraisals.

In addition to my clinical work I am a recognised teacher at the University of Norwich Medical School. I am also a faculty member at St George's Medical School and teach their students when they arrive at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. I am the educational and clinical supervisor for the dermatological trainees and regularly examine the trainees in dermatology and do work-based assessments for them. I also regularly give lectures to GPs and other specialty registrars to enhance their skills in dermatology.

For three years, I have been the Chair of a Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), which is a team of dermatologists, plastic surgeons, oncologists, pathologists and nurses who meet on a weekly basis to discuss the skin cancer cases reported and decide the best management for the individual. I am also the Deputy Clinical Director for appraisals of doctors working in dermatology particularly and hospitals in general on an annual basis.

I enjoy watching cricket matches in the stadium or on television and follow the game. I am also fond of good movies, especially sci-fi. My favourite actor is Roger Moore. In my spare time I enjoy working in my garden and playing with my three granddaughters.
