Virtual consultations:

Spinal surgery can give great benefit to patients including relief of pain and improved mobility. Patients however, require a careful assessment by their surgeon and need all the information to make the right decision. This needs time and my patients can expect a full 30 minute initial consultation with a complete history, examination and explanation of all the options including non-surgical treatments if applicable. This will provide enough time for us to build a rapport and allow me to answer any questions you may have. My practice philosophy is based on quality care not on patient numbers. This allows me to deliver a service individualised to each patient while maintaining my high professional standards and personal integrity.

I have a broad experience of operating on the spine including some of the most challenging cases performed at the NNUH. I operate on some of the most complex spinal tumours, neuromuscular problems and paediatric spinal deformities.

I trained on the Cambridge Orthopaedic Rotation and in Brisbane, Australia and was awarded the Gold Medal for the FRCS Orthopaedic Exam in 2004. I have earned a reputation as a respected and trustworthy colleague in my years as a consultant at the NNUH.

Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Visiting Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, James Paget Hospital.

I am married and have four children. Mine is an interesting and diverse family with a twenty year age gap between my youngest and eldest children. This certainly keeps me on my toes and happily occupied when not at work. We have an old VW camper that we enjoy when we can start it. I am a Trinidadian and therefore a lifelong supporter of the West Indies cricket team (despite our admittedly inconsistent form) as well as a connoisseur of hot pepper sauce.

I enjoy teaching and spend a great deal of time teaching surgical trainees both locally and nationally.
