Mr Jakub Kadlec

Consultant Thoracic Surgeon

MUDr, FRCS (CTh), PgCert in ME

I have been a consultant Thoracic Surgeon since 2016. I provide full spectrum of thoracic surgery with particular interest in mini-invasive surgery.

I specialise in surgical treatment of any thoracic pathologies, including treatment of lung cancers, metastases, pleural pathologies and pathologies of the chest wall, mediastinum and diaphragm,

As a consultant thoracic surgeon, I have performed over 1,000 thoracic surgical procedures and over 300 curative lung cancer resections with favourable clinical outcomes in comparison with national figures. Majority (80%) of lung cancer resections were performed as keyhole surgery.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am honoured to be a clinical lead for thoracic surgery in NNUH and Associate professor of Surgery for St George's University in Grenada.

I also enjoy education, training and charity work. I work as Educational supervisor for trainees in East of England cardiothoracic rotation and I am member of panel of experts for Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation.
