I have been a consultant in Norwich for over 15 years and work as part of a team managing complex stone disease from all over the East of England.
My major clinical interest is in the diagnosis and treatment of urinary stone disease. This includes both the use of advanced surgical techniques and minimally invasive intervention. I also undertake “core” urological procedures and microsurgical vasectomy reversal.
My training has been in Cambridge, Norwich, Bristol, Johns Hopkins (Maryland USA) and Long Island Jewish Hospital (New York USA). I undertook microsurgical training at Northwick Park Institute for Medical Research in London.
A significant amount of my time is committed to education. I am an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Norwich Medical School (UEA) where I am an Academic Head of Year. I co-lead the stone module for the MCh Degree at the University of Edinburgh. I was awarded fellowship of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers in 2015. I sit on the panel of Examiners for the Intercollegiate Surgical Royal Colleges Membership examination.
