Emma qualified in 1982 and worked for the NHS in Chichester and Essex for 13 years. She has worked for Spire Healthcare since 1995 and was Physiotherapy Manager at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood before moving to Norwich in 2008.
Emma has developed a special interest in physiotherapy for women's and men's health problems, especially the treatment of continence disorders and has completed POGP approved training and Masterclasses with Professor Grace Dorey. At your first appointment a holistic assessment is completed to take in to account each patient's lifestyle and other medical problems before devising an individual treatment plan. Treatment may include: tailored exercises, EMG biofeedback or muscle stimulation and advice on diet and managing activities of daily living. Emma liaises with the hospital consultants for appropriate further investigations and the management of complex cases. Emma also has over 25 years experience in the treatment and musculoskeletal conditions in particular spinal and knee problems and incorporates this knowledge and expertise in her treatment plans.
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Norwich Hospital.

Emma wanted to be a physiotherapist since she was aged 10 and studied at King's College Hospital, London, after leaving school. She is still passionate about making a difference to her patients lives and believes in treating each person as an individual.
Outside of work Emma has travelled widely and enjoys wildlife and the countryside. Her activities include walking, pilates and photography.
