Today I was 'signed off' by my consultant following a most successful operation to replace my right hip joint which took place in mid March. I was very pleased to be able to thank my consultant personally for the care, understanding and skill he had shown in what was probably for him a routine procedure but for me was a pretty worrying time.
My anxiety had of course been completely unnecessary and the operation and post operation care was carried out in a most exemplary and professional manner at all times.
Equally important to me was the kindness and friendliness shown by the nursing and support staff and I would ask you to please convey to all concerned my very real gratitude for their excellent care and the cheerful way they went about their work which cannot always have been easy.
Thank you all again so much. For you all, just another patient - for me, a major event overcome and problem solved. I am very grateful.
