Gallbladder removal: what to expect at Spire Norwich Hospital

All the gallbladder removal procedures that Spire undertakes are done through either keyhole or open surgery. Keyhole uses very small incisions while open surgery is a little more invasive and you’ll need to stay in hospital for a few days.

The best approach will be determined at your initial consultation, where you’ll also agree on a date for your operation. On the day of your procedure the team will take care of everything. You’ll be given anaesthetic (usually general) and can expect the procedure to take no more than a few hours.

How to book

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you’re in need of private gallbladder removal across Norfolk.
