I am a Consultant Cardiologist experienced in all aspects of adult cardiology specialising in Coronary intervention ie Diagnostic Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty (stent insertion).

My general cardiology experience encompasses a wide variety of cardiology issues including chest pain assessment, blood-pressure assessment and control, investigation of palpitations and interpretation of ECG’s and monitoring.

I perform all aspects of coronary intervention including diagnostic angiography, complex angioplasty, physiological testing with FFR/IFR and coronary imaging including intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). Having also trained in perfusion CMR (magnetic resonance imaging), I am able to combine my practical expertise with experience of non-invasive ischaemia testing.

I was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist at Glenfield Hospital in 2017 after completing my training with a Cardiology Fellowship undertaken at Toronto General Hospital, Canada. Prior to this, I gained my cardiology and interventional training at the world-renowned Papworth Hospital in Cambridge before being selected for the highly competitive British Cardiovascular Intervention Society (BCIS) Interventional Fellowship in Toronto. I have also been selected as a member of the inaugural cohort of the British Cardiovascular society (BCS) “Emerging Leaders Programme” and am an elected member of the BCS Education Committee.

During my training, I undertook a dedicated period of research culminating in a PhD awarded by King’s College, University of London. This has resulted in a number of peer-reviewed publications including as a main author on the MR-INFORM study published in the New England Journal of Medicine (2019).
