We are able to provide treatment for both privately insured and self-funding patients, and a GP referral letter is not always necessary.

Consultations

We see children from 0-18 years in our outpatient department for consultations. Consultations are with a consultant of your choice, and are usually within 24 hours, subject to the consultant’s availability. Each of our specialists has comprehensive experience treating children within the NHS.

Physiotherapy and radiology

We see and treat all age groups in our physiotherapy and radiology departments. Access is fast and if any invasive radiology is required, this is only done with support from our paediatric nurses.

Surgery

We can admit children aged 3-18 years for surgery following a consultation and pre-operative assessment.

We know that when children need to come into hospital, it can be an anxious time for the whole family – that’s why we offer you and your child an opportunity to visit the hospital prior to admission, become familiar with the surroundings and meet the experts who will be involved in their care.

If surgery is needed, our young patients will be admitted at a mutually convenient time and will stay in a private, en-suite room with a TV. A specialist paediatric nurse will be assigned to them for the duration of their stay to ensure that all their needs are met.

If you would like to arrange a visit to the hospital prior to any appointments or surgery you can contact the hospital on 0115 937 7800 or email nottinghamchildnurseteam@spirehealthcare.com
