I am a Consultant in pain medicine/anaesthesia at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. I am the lead Consultant for pain clinic services at Worcester NHS Hospitals.

I am experienced in managing chronic pain of various origins. I use various modalities for the management of pain and these include Medications, TENS machine, Injections etc. I also utilise the expertise of physiotherapists and psychologists where appropriate to try and decrease not only the pain, but also the disability associated with the pain.

I have a particular interest in lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica/leg pain, various neuralgia, arm/shoulder pain, chest wall, and neuropathic pain. I have become one of the most experienced consultants in managing cancer pain using advanced pain management techniques.

I am well versed in performing all the routine pain relief intervention procedures such as epidurals, facet joint injections, nerve root blocks, medial branch blocks, radio frequency denervation, sympathetic blocks, trigger point injections, Intrathecal Neurolytic blocks etc.

I have completed specialist training in anaesthesia and pain management through the West Midland Deanery’s rotational training scheme. I have undergone advanced training in pain management and have been awarded Fellowship of Faculty of Pain Medicine, Royal College of Anaesthetists, London.

I have many national and international presentations to my name and teach on courses for anaesthetic examinations. I have also contributed to various academic book publications.
