MD, DM MRCP (UK)
I have been a Consultant in Clinical Neurophysiology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham since 2013. I had previously been a Neurology Consultant overseas until 2005. I subsequently completed my Specialist Registrar training in Clinical Neurophysiology at Oxford and Cardiff with additional placements at the Bristol Royal Infirmary and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital in London. My special interest is in nerve and muscle disorders.
My clinical work includes nerve conduction studies and electromyography for various nerve entrapment syndromes such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy; peripheral neuropathies, motor neuron disease and muscle disorders. I also perform single fibre EMG studies for myasthenia gravis, ambulatory EEG, evoked potentials (EP) and intro-operative monitoring procedures.
I take an active role in both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
