I specialise in the management of all aspects of breast diseases with special interest in the breast cancer management. I provide a comprehensive service aimed at delivering a highest quality of care to my patients.
I am very experienced with all aspects of breast cancer surgery including mastectomy, breast conservation surgery (lumpectomy), staging of axilla for breast cancer by using the sentinel biopsy technique, axillary clearance, microdochectomy, sub-areolar duct excision for nipple discharge, breast infections management, eversion of retracted nipple, removal of benign lumps and reshaping mammoplasty after removal of breast cancer.
I also use wire guided needle localisation for impalpable cancer and mammary duct fistulas surgery. I am very experienced in dealing with symptomatic as well as screen detected breast cancers.
I trained in West Yorkshire before moving to Birmingham. I have also worked as a consultant breast surgeon in Merseyside. I am a member of the Association of Breast Surgeons and I am Clinical Lead and MDT chair in my breast unit.
To further enrich my knowledge pool I attend numerous national and international conferences and recommended courses. Closer to home I participate in research projects in our unit as Principal Investigator.

I am married to Abia, a general practitioner and have two sons at university. I spend most of my free time with my family. I enjoy swimming, and going to the gym. I like reading books and enjoy listening to music in my spare time. I enjoy watching football and cricket. I also find listening to Urdu poetry and music relaxing.
