I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Surgeon. My practice encompasses all aspects of adult and paediatric foot and ankle surgery including minimally invasive and keyhole surgery (arthroscopy), bunion and lesser toes corrections, big toe arthritis, sports injuries, Achilles tendons problems, flatfoot correction, cartilage defects, arthritis surgery including ankle joint replacement and fusion, neuromuscular disorders including Charcot-Marie-tooth, diabetic foot complications and trauma.

I gained my specialist training in the West Midlands culminating in the award of Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in Trauma and Orthopaedics. During my training, I completed a visiting foot and ankle reconstruction fellowship at a centre of excellence in Canada, and my final year comprised of a senior fellowship in adult & paediatric foot and ankle surgery in Birmingham. I went on to complete a second fellowship in advanced foot & ankle surgery and diabetic foot reconstruction from the internationally renowned unit at King’s College Hospital in London. Both fellowships are accredited by the British Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.

My NHS practice is based at Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, an internationally acclaimed and one of the largest specialist orthopaedic units in Europe and ranked by Newsweek as one of the best orthopaedic institutions in the world. I also provide a tertiary level specialist paediatric foot and ankle care at the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Alongside my clinical practice, I am very passionate about research and surgical innovation. I completed a Master's degree at the University of Edinburgh and was awarded Distinction for my research work on surgical education. I served as the Birmingham Orthopaedic Network Lead for Research and Audit in 2019/2020. I have authored a textbook chapter and published articles in reputable peer-reviewed journals and have been awarded various academic prizes.

Throughout my career, I have been actively involved with teaching of undergraduate medical students and postgraduate surgical trainees. I am recognised as a clinical and educational supervisor for surgical trainees and medical students by the General Medical Council. I am an honorary lecturer at Aston University and a clinical supervisor of Biomedical Engineering PhD and Master's students at Aston University, and I am a regular faculty member of multiple national and international FRCS (Tr & Orth) courses.
