I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and specialise in performing hip and knee joint replacements since 2018. My NHS practice is based at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, Birmingham.
My expertise includes managing patients with hip and knee joint problems. I perform approximately 230-250 joint replacements every year. In addition, I regularly perform revision hip and knee surgery for patients with painful or failed joint replacements.
I completed my Basic Surgical Training in Leeds and Higher Surgical Training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in Sheffield and affiliated hospitals. I undertook an advanced fellowship in Orthopaedic Trauma at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham and an Adult Joint Reconstruction fellowship at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. The fellowships helped me gain further experience in managing complex trauma and complex problems of the hip and knee joints. I have also visited centres in India, Nepal, South Africa and the US which has helped him understand the different healthcare systems.
In addition to my clinical work, I am also one of three Regional Surgical Adviser (Representative) for West Midlands for Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Edinburgh.
I regularly teach on regional and national courses preparing orthopaedic surgeons for specialists FRCS(Tr&Orth) exam.
I am also a faculty on Advanced Trauma Life Support course run by the Royal College Surgeons of England, London.

I am interested in clinical research and routinely conduct and contribute to Orthopaedic literature. These have been on generality of Orthopaedics but also on hip and knee arthritis and treatment of arthritis. The list of publications are available via ResearchGate.net.
