I have worked in physiotherapy for over 30 years now. Supporting my colleagues in Outpatients and Inpatients, rehabilitating our patients.
I have developed my role as Physiotherapy Assistant, running gym classes, one-to-one gym sessions, Isokinetic testing and rehabilitation using the Cybex Norm system. The core of my work is musculoskeletal issues. I take an active roll in the therapies pre-operative, working along side the nursing staff and occupational therapy teams.
I talk to patients explaining the process, sending them exercises and information packs to help them prepare for surgery. I also work on the wards with the therapy teams encouraging mobility and return of function with the post-operative patients. Seeing some in outpatients for continuing rehabilitation when required.
I am the Infection Control Lead for Physiotherapy at my hospital.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mrs Deborah Morris at Spire include:
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Parkway Hospital.

I have two dogs and two large breed goats as pets that live in my garden. I am a very outdoors person and enjoy spending time with my partner walking the dogs and caring for the goats. I have a passion for animals and have owned many from rabbits, cats and dogs to horses, sheep and of course the goats. I have now kept goats for 28 years and love them to bits as they brighten my day!
I love to read and have recently developed an enjoyment in gardening that has had mixed results. Also my other passion is going on cruises whenever possible.
