12 February 2025
- Spire Parkway Hospital present certificates to 5 apprentices across clinical and non-clinical roles
To celebrate National Apprenticeship Week commencing on 10 February, Spire Parkway Hospital commemorated colleagues who successfully completed an apprenticeship in 2024. Throughout the week, Spire Healthcare provided virtual events for colleagues across Spire’s 38 hospitals and 50 clinics to join, including sessions on apprenticeships at Spire, success stories and a graduation celebration hosted by Justin Ash, CEO of Spire Healthcare.
At Spire Parkway Hospital, a total of 5 colleagues completed an apprenticeship in 2024. These included the following courses: operations/departmental manager, registered nurse degree, senior healthcare support worker and HR support. By completing apprenticeships, colleagues are able to make exceptional contributions to their hospital, consequently providing outstanding care.

In 2025, Spire Healthcare has approximately 340 apprentices across the country in both clinical and non-clinical roles. In addition to this, Spire have apprenticeships in biomedical science, physiotherapy, pharmacy, medical laboratory technicians, as well as non-clinical disciplines. Alongside apprenticeship programmes, several other training opportunities and student placements are offered at Spire.
Emily Montgomery, Hospital Director at Spire Parkway Hospital, said: “At Spire Parkway Hospital we are incredibly proud of our apprenticeship training programmes and are aiming through our continued investment in these programmes, to build a talent pipeline for our business and the broader healthcare sector. Importantly, these programmes contribute to the sustainability of the whole healthcare sector in the UK, because many of our graduates will go on to careers in the NHS and elsewhere – something we’re proud of as a net contributor to society”.
