I trained at University College Hospital, London. My cardiology training was in the South East Thames region, primarily at St Thomas' and King's College Hospitals, London. I completed my PhD in Ischaemic Preconditioning and Myocardial Protection at University College Hospital, London (with a British Heart Foundation Research Fellowship) and have published widely in this area.

As part of my interventional training, I spent a one-year fellowship in Quebec, Canada, training in complex angioplasty via the trans-radial (wrist) approach. I was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust in 2012.

I specialise in radial (wrist) coronary intervention (angioplasty / stenting) and structural cardiac intervention.
