M.B.B.S ATSM

Specialises in

  • Endometriosis and pelvic pain diagnosis and treatment
  • Menopause
  • Laparoscopy investigation and treatment
  • Menstrual problems
  • Ovarian cyst removal

As an expert in the treatment and management of endometriosis and pelvic pain, I offer an individual approach from the diagnosis to treatment. I am specialised in advanced laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and benign gynaecological conditions and an expert in managing severe endometriosis when affecting the bowel, bladder and ureter from diagnosis to treatment. I also perform advanced pelvic ultrasound for benign gynaecology and endometriosis and treat other benign gynaecological conditions such as menstrual problems, ovarian cysts and fibroids.

I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Southern Endometriosis Centre, Portsmouth. I completed my speciality training in 2015 at the University of Bologna, which is the oldest university in the world, and is also known as one of the highest-learning and degree-awarding institutes. The hospital is one of the busiest centres in Italy with a workload of more than 800 gynaecological laparoscopies a year.

I have a passion and energy to help others, and have been involved in several charity missions in Africa (Kenya and Congo) and am a member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE). I travel worldwide to develop my experience and skills and regularly present my work at national and international conferences. I have published a large number of scientific papers on endometriosis and minimally invasive surgery, and have demonstrated the effect of surgery in improving the quality of life, sexual life and symptoms of pain in patients affected by endometriosis.

I have also published several research articles on ultrasound.
