I am writing to express my sincere thanks to Mr Watkinson and all the members of the team who made my visit at the Spire Hospital such a pleasant and stress free experience.

From the moment I was admitted I was immediately put at ease and made to feel I was in safe hands. I was extremely well looked after and kept well informed throughout my stay. Every member of the team without exception was extremely professional and kind which put me at ease prior to my operation. The physiotherapist explained what exercises I would need to do after the operation and the benefit these would bring. Everything I needed to know was explained to me simply, sometimes more than once, which helped to subdue any nerves I may have had. Matt, one of the Anaesthetist team spent a good few minutes happily answering my questions and chatting.

Post operation, the lady who looked after me in recovery was an absolute angel, as was the nurse who looked after me when I was back in my room. I think her name was Susan, she kept checking in on me to make sure I was ok, and was very insistent that I should be in no rush to be discharged. Again she explained to me as many times as necessary everything I needed to know.

We live in a world where high levels of service are now expected as standard. The level of service and care I received on Wednesday 5th February at the Spire Hospital was not standard, it was exceptional.  Everybody who played a part in my care did a fantastic job, particularly  the physiotherapist, two anaesthetists  Jim and Matt, the lady in recovery and the post operation nurse Susan, and of course the main man Duncan Watkinson and his theatre team for now giving me a pain free fully mobile shoulder.
