I was appointed as Consultant Gastroenterologist at Macclesfield District General Hospital in March 2010 and also works at Spire Regency Hospital Macclesfield.
My clinical practice involves personalised and comprehensive care with a multidisciplinary approach in general gastroenterology conditions, liver disease and cancer investigation/diagnosis.
I qualified from Kilpauk Medical College (Madras, India) in 1994. I underwent senior house officer training in general medicine at various UK hospitals (Royal Gwent Hospital, North Staffordshire Hospital and Walsgrave Hospital Coventry and subsequently completed my training in Gastroenterology and General Medicine at the Mersey Deanery (Royal Liverpool Hospital, Arrow Park Hospital and Leighton Hospital in Crewe). I undertook advanced therapeutic endoscopy fellowship training at St Michaels Hospital (Centre for advanced therapeutic endoscopy and gastrointestinal cancer) Toronto, Canada and successfully completed this international fellowship from the University of Toronto in 2007.
I also have a keen interest in training and education, I am the Course Director /Organiser for the TECNA training course which is run nationally.
