I am currently a consultant in otolaryngology with adult and paediatric general workload and a subspecialist interest in thyroid and parathyroid surgery.

I have been working as a Consultant ENT Surgeon at Mid Cheshire Hospitals for the past five years, during which I have also acted as the Clinical Governance Lead and the Educational Supervisor for ENT trainees.

I am a fellowship trained surgeon, having completed two head and neck fellowships. The first at St George's Hospital NHS Trust in London in 2008 and the second at Aintree University Hospital NHS Trust in 2015. My fellowship at Aintree University Hospital had a special focus on thyroid and parathyroid surgery working with both the ENT and endocrine surgery departments.

I finished my training programme in Egypt at Ain Shams University Hospitals. this training provided me with a broad experience in otolaryngology. Towards the end of my training I was awarded a prize scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education during which I did a fellowship at St George's Hospital. I am currently still academically linked to Ain Shams University being an honorary associate professor in the otolaryngology department.
