I’m a Consultant Nephrologist specialising in all aspects of kidney care and related illnesses.
My NHS practice is at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, one of the largest Trust's in the UK.
I have undergone training in kidney centres in Oxford, Stevenage, London and Manchester. I am elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, UK and a member of the UK Renal Association. I am part of the teaching faculty for training courses in Oxford, London and Manchester.
I am an appointed Honorary Professor of Medicine at the University of Manchester and Manchester Metropolitan University. In these roles, I supervise NIHR clinical research of high national priority for advancing kidney care and new emerging treatments.
I also have various appointed UK and international leadership roles, primarily aimed at improving quality of kidney care. I serve as a Trustee for the Greater Manchester Charity Kidneys for Life.
