I trained at the Royal London Hospital, Registrar rotation at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge, followed by two years as Research Registrar at Cambridge University and Addenbrooke’s Hospital for Master of Surgery. I was the Urology Registrar at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and Urology Senior Registrar at The Western General Hospital, Edinburgh.

I was born in Sri Lanka, but have lived in England since the age of four years. My early years were spent in North London and Norwich. I moved to Worcester in 1995.
My hobbies include golf (member of Blackwell Golf Club), skiing and hill walking. I am also a keen supporter of Worcester Warriors.
I am married to Linda, a staff nurse at Malvern Community Hospital. I have two daughters, Sophie (studying Fine Art at Manchester) and Millie (studying Mapping and Surveying at Newcastle University).
