After years of athletics, swimming and rowing, I graduated as a sport and exercise scientist and then as a physiotherapist. For the last 20 years I have worked at general hospitals, military units and football clubs and in outpatient physiotherapy clinics, with adults and with children. I have experienced a wide variety of people and conditions working in fracture clinics, running balance classes and post-operative limb classes.
At regular intervals, I have attended multiple courses and training sessions on exercise and mobilization of tissues, nerves and joints.
An interest in activity participation led me through women's rugby, lacrosse and martial arts. I then went on to train with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates institute and use this as part of my rehabilitation approach.
