Spire South Bank Hospital maintains clinical excellence in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for eighth consecutive year
24 January 2024
Dedicated staff, expert consultants and state-of-the-art facilities at Worcestershire-based Spire South Bank Hospital have allowed the healthcare provider to maintain its Joint Advisory Group in GI Endoscopy (JAG) accreditation, the ‘gold standard’ for Endoscopy services, for eight years running.
Following a series of national independent audits, carried out by the Joint Advisory Group in GI Endoscopy in late 2023, Spire South Bank Hospital has been awarded the internationally recognised JAG-accreditation for an additional year – meaning that the hospital has now reached eight consecutive years of recognition for their clinical excellence in Endoscopy.
During the yearly evidence-based audit, on-site teams at Spire South Bank Hospital must provide proof that they are meeting strict standards to maintain their accreditation. These standards include a high standard of staff training and continual monitoring of the service to ensure the patient pathway is as seamless as possible with short waiting times for patients in the region.
