I currently work as part of the paediatric gastroenterology team and manage children with various bowel conditions. My routine clinical work includes the care of paediatric gastroenterology inpatients, outpatient clinics, and diagnostic upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy. I have been working as a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist since 2011.
I look after children with conditions including inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease, recurrent abdominal pain and intestinal failure. I also provide diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy for the region, and clinics at regional hospitals. As well as general gastroenterology clinics, I also facilitate an intestinal failure and coeliac disease clinic.
I have a special interest in intestinal failure and the management of complex nutritional needs. Also, I provide a regional service for diagnosis and management of children with gastrointestinal motility disorders.
