I am a UK Fellowship trained Consultant Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeon based at University Hospital Southampton. My practice involves the medical and surgical management of problems related to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. This includes the degenerate spine, spinal oncology and spinal deformity. In addition, I am experienced in the treatment of spinal trauma and participate on the regional on call rota at Southampton for spinal emergencies.
I received my undergraduate training at St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry during which time I was also awarded an Intercalated Honours degree in Anatomy. I completed my Higher Surgical Training as a Specialist Registrar in the Wessex Deanery. My Fellowship training in advanced spinal techniques took place in Oxford at The John Radcliffe Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
I have a considered approach to the management of spinal pathology and utilise multidisciplinary working with appropriate surgical intervention where indicated.
