Highly sophisticated monitoring equipment and a dedicated team of staff give you the care you need after your operation.
The Critical Care Department includes level 2 care (High Dependency Unit) and level 3 (Intensive Care Unit), with a total of nine beds. Our dedicated critical care unit allows us to perform some of the most advanced complex surgery, giving you peace of mind that you will receive round the clock care after surgery.
Following some types of surgery some patients may require higher levels of nursing care and observation, provided in our Critical Care Department. Sometimes this may be precautionary; or it may be due to the fact they require a higher level of care to recover. Most patients will stay in CCD for one or two nights depending on their condition and the procedure they have undergone. Our purpose built facilities, recently upgraded in 2009, now have nine beds, including an isolation suite, with highly sophisticated monitoring equipment. Our multidisciplinary dedicated team, which include medical and nursing staff, provide nursing care for very close monitoring after your operation.
