I am a Consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist, specialising in the treatment of heart rhythm problems. I have a particular interest and expertise in the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, including ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardia.

Treatments offered include ablation of common heart rhythm problems such as atrial fibrillation/flutter and tachycardia, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) including accessory pathways, ectopic beats and ventricular tachycardia (VT).

I also implant loop recorders (ILR), pacemakers, cardiac resynchronisation (CRT) devices and defibrillators (ICD). I have performed over 1,000 ablation procedures and device implants.

I have extensive experience in general cardiology and electrophysiology, training in both the UK and US on all aspects of heart rhythm management from medical therapy through to ablation and device implantation.

Undertaking a fellowship at the prestigious UCLA Cardiac Arrhythmia Centre in California with a world renowned team, I learned cutting edge techniques for ablation not widely offered in the UK. I practice at St George's Hospital which is one of the largest cardiac referral centres for South London and Surrey and also hold clinics at Queen Mary's Hospital.

I frequently publish research in this field and present my work internationally. I am proud to be on the team responsible for publishing the renowned Journal of the American Cardiology of Cardiology for Electrophysiology (JACC EP) as a scholar in residence.

I am a strong patient advocate. In addition to my clinical work, I feature regularly in 'Heart Matters' British Heart Foundation magazine as part of their 'Ask the Expert' article, which is a valuable resource for patients. I also frequently review patient content for the British Heart Foundation (leaflets, animations, illustrations).
