I am a Consultant Dermatologist at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Trust and my expertise is in medical dermatology/inflammatory skin disease, treatment of skin cancer and skin lesions and vulva dermatology. I have comprehensive training in all aspects of dermatology and furthered my training in medical dermatology at the prestigious St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Thomas' Hospital, London. I trained under some of the leading dermatologists in the world for eczema and psoriasis and acquired considerable knowledge and experience in these sub-specialist fields. Following on from this, at my NHS base hospital, Frimley Park NHS Trust, I have developed and led a medical dermatology and psoriasis clinic for several years and I am the lead clinician for vulva dermatology.
My major passion within medical dermatology is treatment with systemic agents, management of patients with complex disease and clearing their skin disease. I take a holistic approach in the management of patients with skin disease. I also specialise in skin cancer and the excision and treatment of skin lesions.
To date, I have performed over 300 skin lesions surgeries/excisions per year and over 300 other surgical skin lesion procedures (biopsies, curettage and cautery) per year in both my NHS and private practice.
In addition to my clinical work, I take an active role in teaching and training junior doctors and training and assessing future dermatologists. I am a chairman for medical student interviews and assessments at King's, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, University of London.
I have dermatology publications in peer reviewed journals and have numerous presentations at national and international meetings.
