I am a Consultant Gynaecologist and a sub-specialist Urogynaecologist with extensive experience in female pelvic floor dysfunction including prolapse, urinary incontinence and childbirth injuries. I am one of the leading Urogynaecologists at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.
I have surgical expertise in vaginal, laparoscopic and endoscopic gynaecological surgery. I have also had honorary consultant contracts with several NHS trusts in England and Wales as a visiting surgeon to teach colleagues specialist surgical techniques.
I carry out the following surgeries: Stress incontinence surgery including mid-urethral tape operations (TVTO, TVT), autologous fascial slings (for women who cannot or do not wish have tape operations), urethral bulking injections. Endoscopic bladder procedures including cystoscopy and Botox injection of bladder. Pelvic organ prolapse surgery including vaginal hysterectomy, pelvic floor repairs, perineal reconstruction, anterior and posterior colporrhaphy, Manchester repair, sacrospinous fixation, abdominal sacrocolpopexy (open and laparoscopic), colpocleisis. Other gynaecological surgeries including: abdominal hysterectomy, laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy, laparoscopic management of pelvic pain and ovarian cysts including endometriosis treatment, hysteroscopies, endometrial ablation procedures and other minor gynaecological procedures.
I am educational supervisor for gynaecology specialist registrars, trainer for undergraduate and post-graduate medical students of St. Georges University Medical School. I am passionate about providing excellent care to my patients and develop a good patient doctor relationship.
