Having played a lot of cricket and rugby, I enjoy following both sports avidly.

I have a love of music, having played the cello for my Medical School orchestra. Whenever possible I enjoy visiting the Royal Opera House with my wife to watch operas. I also enjoy listening to all kinds of music, especially when I operate. I have a particular affinity to rock music. I especially enjoy listening to music from groups such as Pink Floyd and Genesis, having seen them in concert.

Most of my weekends are spent helping my children with their activities. However, we manage to make time to work on our allotment as a family.

I also enjoy travelling around the world.
